Hi I was wondering if you could help us as we are doing a campaign as part of our course , we have chosen young people and politics and are focusing on why young people don’t vote , and persuading them to vote when they are of age. We are looking for a specific school (school with sixth form) where we can hold our debate but would also love to have a guest speaker there as well as us to educate and influence the young people. If you could help us in terms of a guest speaker it would be much appreciated.

The dates we are looking to have our campaign are:

· April 8th 2011

· April 15th 2011

· April 22nd 2011

(They all fall on a Friday)

Yours sincerely

Natalie Manu

Please can you send me more information about your course (level etc). I can then see if one of our youth members who has taken part campaigning here is able to attend.

Hi thank you for the reply I am currently in my first year studying BA Advertising Media and Public relations at Middlesex University. The module for this campaign is MCS 1000 Issues in media, politics and culture.

We have chosen the topic young people and voting as it is obvious there is a problem when it comes to getting young people involved in politics/voting. We feel it is important to get the message across to young people that they should vote when of age.

So far we have made leaflets, posters and have found a location which is a youth organisation with young people aged 13-19. Details are listed below of the location our campaign will be taking place, if a guest speaker is available between the opening times of the youth centre we would be very grateful.
